NSPCC Number Day: Maths Code breaking challenge

As an LCQM Gold award winning school we strive every day to make Maths in our school a positive experience for all our children. We continue to promote the importance of 'Numeracy for Life' skills. This academic year we are lucky enough to have Financial Numeracy sessions delivered by Barclays. We will continue to have lots of fun with maths especially on our theme days such as NSPCC Number Day and Maths Party Day.

Our maths focus this year is Measures. We want the children to have a better understanding of how they can use the skills they learn in school, at home when baking, building and problem solving.

Each class took part in a class 'Bake Off' style challenge in the Autumn term. This was a huge success and the children really enjoyed this. All the money raised from the sale of the treats has gone towards new maths equipment for each class.

We will continue to update this page with lots of new and exciting maths information and activities.
