St Paul & St Timothy’s Catholic Infant School

school remains closed tomorrow

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, unfortunately we are going to have to remain closed tomorrow for all children. Due to the late notice and the number of parents/carers completing Key Worker forms it has been impossible to process everything tonight.

I am so sorry that it has come to this. We have been left in a very difficult position. We will be able to make provision for vulnerable children and critical worker children as we did last Summer term during the initial lockdown. However, due to restrictions on numbers within a classroom there has had to be a cap placed on that number in line with our school risk assessment. Parents/Carers will be contacted tomorrow about Key Worker places.

School work will be set for children to access remotely and the same work will be set for any vulnerable or critical worker children who attend school. Staff will be in touch tomorrow with more details.

Please try not to contact school tomorrow unless it is an emergency, whilst we try to get everything in place. After that, if you need to contact the school or your child’s class teacher for any reason, you can do so via the telephone on 0151 228 2114, email: enquires@spst.liverpool.sch.uk or via any of the ParentApps form if it is regarding an absence. From Wednesday, if you are unable to access the internet at home and are not able to access remote learning, please let us know, and we will look at how we can best support you. We don’t know how long we will be in this situation and we will continue to communicate information to you throughout this time. Please take care and stay safe. Joanne Starkey x
