Pastoral Support

Pastoral Support:

Miss. Pimblett is our Pastoral and Mental Health Lead. She works with a team who support the pastoral needs of our children and their families; as well as our staff.

Miss. Pimblett works in partnership with other services. She can signpost families to partner agencies for more individualised  support or advice. She also leads on bereavement and loss. Miss Pimblett works with the School Council to ensure all pupils have a voice.

We also offer courses and workshops for parents and carers throughout the year. Everyone is welcome, but book early as places are limited and are filled quickly.

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND):

St Paul and St Timothy’s Catholic Infant School is an inclusive school. We know that all children are unique and that some children may need additional or different support to achieve their potential. We understand behaviour as communication and know that effective partnerships with families are most important for understanding each child's unique self.  We work with children, families and specialist agencies to plan a graduated approach to children's needs through early intervention and the right support at the right time.  All are welcome in our school and we celebrate diversity through our ethos and curriculum.

Our Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENCO) is Miss Palmer. She is happy to help if you have any questions regarding your child’s educational, physical or medical needs. She is supported in her role by Miss Pimblett (Pastoral/Mental Health Lead).

Miss. Palmer (SENCO) has responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Disability within our school. She is also the lead teacher for Inclusion and the named teacher for Looked After Children (LAC) by Children's Services. If you have any queries or concerns regarding any of these areas please contact Miss. Palmer through the school office.

To speak to one of our Pastoral or SEND Team please contact school on 0151 228 2114 or email into and include which member of staff you would like to speak to. We are always happy to help.
