Welcome Statement

St. Paul and St. Timothy’s Catholic Infant School is set in the Liverpool suburb of West Derby. We are a large, 4 form entry school catering for children aged 4 – 7 years of age. We serve the parishes of St. Paul and St. Timothy.

We strive to live the Gospel message in our daily life in school. Through our mission statement: ‘Love – Learn – Believe – Achieve, in the spirit of Jesus’, all in our school community are encouraged to love God and love one another.

We are an inclusive school and, in partnership with parents/carers, we aim to meet the needs of every child in our care. The health, safety and wellbeing of our children is our primary concern.

We strongly believe that relationships and communication are key to understanding each child’s strengths, needs, emotions and feelings. We are a trauma and attachment informed school and understand behaviour as communication.

At St. Paul and St. Timothy’s, we are led by a highly motivated team, who constantly strive to drive up standards and provide a rich variety of experiences for our children. All children enjoy an exciting and challenging curriculum which is further enhanced by a variety of visits and visitors. We have high expectations of all in our school community and everyone is encouraged to work hard and do their best. We are very proud of the fact that our children make excellent progress and hope that you will join us in celebrating continued success.

If you should have any further questions, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Mission Statement

“Love, Learn, Believe, Achieve”

in the spirit of Jesus.

At St. Paul and St. Timothy’s Catholic Infant School we celebrate the individual differences and gifts that God has blessed each and every one of us with.

“The mission of schools … is to develop an understanding of all that is true, good and beautiful.”

“An inclusive education finds a place for all.”

“Educating is an act of love; it is like giving life.” (Pope Francis)

We believe each new day brings the opportunity to express our love for God and one another. We provide a supportive, yet challenging, learning environment where each individual is able to develop their abilities and gifts. Our school is a place where children and adults can express their belief in God; develop belief in themselves and others. We believe everyone in our school community can achieve, whatever their ability. Each achievement is as unique as each individual and all are celebrated. We aspire to equip all in our school community to proclaim the Good News and “live life to the full”.
